From a very young age, I had the dream of being a

"hair person"

and would tell my mother that on a consistent basis!

Along with that dream I also dreamed of owning my own hair salon.

Over the past 30 something years of my life this dream has become a reality.

Salon 864 was opened 7 years ago and during the past 7 years salon 864

has transformed into salon 864 & boutique which was another dream of mine -

to be able to purchase and sell clothing and accessories

and share my love for fashion with some pretty amazing clients and friends.

I have met so many wonderful and caring people along my journey,

and have also faced several challenges in life from which

I have grown as an individual and a business owner.

After 7 years of being in business I have decided to

take another step. I am in the process of opening

a second store which I will call stylebybecca. My new home will be nestled in

the Pendleton Street arts district. Style by Becca will be located in a cozy and

intimate space near several artist friends.

The new studio will consist of my favorite

frocks as well as lovely handmade accessories and gifts.

I will also continue to offer cutting and coloring services by appointment only

as well as personal styling, makeup, waxing and special event styling.

While I am looking forward to my new location opening,

I am also very happy to share with you

that salon 864 will remain open. Under new management salon 864

will continue to offer the services, product and boutique merchandise

that many of you have come to expect and depend on and also

will be providing additional lifestyle services.

My target open date is March 2011 and I am working very hard

i'm back...

just got back home from NYC
spent 5 great days in the city
1 with a friend in Park Slope
1 shopping and people watching
3 at Bumble and bumble

I felt so lucky to go this class
for salon owners.
It was so motivating and made me
think about what I am currently doing
in my business and how I can make things even
better for my staff and clients.
Can't wait to put this into action...
